    Introduction

A toothache is a condition, that is usually quite difficult to deal with, especially if experienced on a regular basis. That pain sensation is an indication that there is an inflammation, an infection, or a cavity inside a tooth or gums. Getting rid of a toothache usually requires visiting the local dentist office. However, remedies for a toothache can be found in other forms, as well. There is a myriad of methods to choose from, but not all of them are equally effective and meant for the same situations. The key is finding the right one.

    Alleviate the consequences

22mmnxnkxTooth pain is something most people dread. It can severely degrade the quality of life, and hamper any person’s daily activities. To alleviate the consequences, applying the best remedy, as soon as possible, should be a number one priority.

An important fact, which everyone should be aware of, is that not all the solutions will be effective for everyone. Each a toothache is specific in its way and usually, depends on the source of pain and its severity. Sometimes, it just might so happen that no remedy is useful. In most cases, this is an indication that the tooth is chipped, broken or rotten, thus making any repair impossible. The only remaining option, in case the tooth is rotten, would be a removal procedure.

As mention above, people usually dread when thinking about toothaches, What they dread, perhaps more, is going to the dentist. There are all kinds of reasons why someone would skip visiting a dentist. High prices, fear or unavailability, are just some of the reasons. Therefore, it is always good to have something on hand, in the case of a toothache.

    Remedies

On the first sign of tooth pain, it would be good to get a warm glass of water and add to it one teaspoon of salt. That mixture should be drinking, but not swallowed. The key here is to swish the water around the mouth, and then spit it out. This method is commonly seen as the first line of defense and should exhibit immediate effects on the pain.

The second method involves the use of ice. The method itself is quite simple, and requires a small block of ice, held against the side of the face, where the aching tooth is located. This way, the area around the tooth will be numbed by the ice, thus making the pain harder to feel.

33nnchhi Garlic and fresh peppermint are also quite useful for alleviating the tooth pain. For centuries, people have used garlic for various medicinal purposes, and dealing with a toothache is one of them. Garlic is best used by mixing it with a small amount of rock salt, applying it to the ailing tooth, a leaving it there for a little while. Fresh peppermint can also be helpful, by taking at least 5 grams of it, mixing it with a teaspoon of salt, and adding that mixture to a cup of boiling water. The entire mixture should be left to cool down, and then drank.

It is important to note that, all of these remedies and methods are meant to help on an immediate basis, and not in the long run. Leaving a toothache unattended for a longer period, can cause even more severe problems. To avoid these, one should consider visiting a dentist.…
